Although Pressure Treated decks are quickly fading they are still the cheapest option. They require a lot of maintenance and don’t hold up to the elements like they used to. Cedar is another option. Again, requiring a lot of maintenance but a very attractive species of wood which will hold up better, and look nicer than pressure treated.
Hardwoods are your final and best choice for a wood deck. Ipe, Camaru, Tigerwood, and Mahogany are all beautiful options. Ipe, the most popular in our region is the hardest wood on the planet used for building. This wood is expensive, but will last 100 years if maintained properly.

This is an Ipe deck with white Timbertech Radiance railing. The Paver patio and deck combination provide enough entertainment area for several guests without taking up too much of the back yard.
